Our History
Dave and Sandy Holtkamp opened Floors Decor & More in October 1988 to bring Fort Madison and the surrounding area a full service flooring, wall covering and window treatment business. Their goal from the beginning has been to provide personal service in a friendly and knowledgeable atmosphere with quality products at the very best prices available town. This approach lead to much growth and success for the family business, enabling them to expand through a series of renovations to offer even more of the area’s best products.
These expansions and growth lead to Dave and Sandy’s son, Bob Holtkamp, taking on multiple leadership roles and responsibilities within the family business. This eventually lead to Bob opening Holtkamp Furniture in 2013 under the roof of Floors, Decor and More to give area residents and families a true one stop shop for all home furnishing needs. In April 2017, the Holtkamp family officially integrated the two business into Holtkamp’s Floors, Decor & Furniture with Bob becoming the managing partner of company.
Though our name has changed, our mission remains the same to be Fort Madison’s premier home furnishings provider with the most knowledge, friendly and customer focused staff around. We are fully aware that our success would not be possible without the support of our customers, our vendors, our business partners and our friends and want to thank you all for being an integral part of this expansion!
